Jon Rish is leaving WEEI

Merloni doing the RS radio broadcast with Joe tonight but I don't think he's got the time to do this on a semi-regular basis when Rish leaves.

Rish is still doing the update.

rest of the week
OB is there the "rest of the week." I said "semi-reg" because I don't know OB's ESPN schedule which I'm assuming results in two misses a week? Lou has Comcast work and he's a color guy not a PbP guy.

They will need an update guy to replace Rish but more importantly a pbp #2 to work a few innings (which Rish also did) for Joe who did the whole game last night.

The updates are probably going to go to John Ryder (who already does them for the C's) , with pbp eventually going to Dale Arnold once his NESN/Bruins commitments end (or they're start using him immediately if O'Brien is at ESPN and the B's are off. It's what they're going to do when Arnold is not available is the question on pbp...

once a week.
Is that all it is? I don't what O'Brien's schedule looks like? Doing the whole game once a week isn't that bad. But if you've had a PbP partner for 30 years working half the game it's a change you probably aren't thrilled with.

Lou was on again tonight and works well with Joe.

It's a least once a week because there are some other, minor sports that O'Brien does. He missed some time for the Women's Final Four. I think most of the other stuff that would take him away are only at the beginning and end of the baseball season.
