Jones & Heather in the Morning

Jones & Heather made their debut this morning as a duo on LITE ROCK 105, and to me Jones has added on to the show and took over what Gary left behind. It sounds the same, and to me it sounds awesome.

And that's the correct way to pick up where the last person left off.Not by changing the show to fit the person as they constantly do at Coast,but find a person that fits he show.I like David and even though she can't wing it alone I do like Joan but they can't seem to find her the right kind of support and the Coast morning show is overcrowded with irritants.Ironically if change ever comes,Joan will be the one who pays the price,which she should not.
 
I heard a spot on LITE today with Gary talking about the station and fond memories, etc. Seems like LITE definitely wants to keep the listener in the loop that GD left on his own.

I think they did that with Salty too when he "retired". And even after his death they use one of his "no school" drop-ins on the morning show, still run the Christmas Carol with him in it, and named the building after him.

On the other hand when Bruce and John were let go from B101 they made no bones about it not being voluntary but wouldn't discuss the reasons in the local rag.
