It is my sad duty to announce that former Central PA sales manager/GM Joni Beck passed away Friday night. A mutual friend asked me how to let Central PA know for those who knew her, and I figured this was the best place to do so. She worked at Starview 92 and at WQXA-FM, she was there when it picked up Stern and quietly changed its name from "The Edge" to "The X". Like the recently passed on Flo Fisher of Carlisle, Joni was a selling machine, very good at what she did. She was most recently working in Fayetteville, NC. RIP, Joni.

I remember Joni being a nice lady, a blonde southern girl who smoked a lot of cigarettes. It's interesting to read that she moved on to NC; we last spoke when she was working for The Edge. Condolences to her friends and family.
