I am sorry to report that Jordan Rich's wife of 31 years has passed away following a long illness. He will be off the air for the next couple of weeks.
Jordan, who indeed is a great man, writes the following on his facebook page:
I write you with a heavy heart. My bride of 31 years has passed. She battled courageously and will always serve as an inspiration for me and those who know her. My thanks to you who are always so supportive. I'll return to the show in a couple of weeks. Until then, know that my family is united and strong as we deal with our loss. https://www.facebook.com/jordanrichshow
His wife was a wonderful person. i got to know her from teaching her daughter years ago as a freshmen. Their daughter is wonderful, too. I'm very sorry for them.

Jordan delivered a beautiful eulogy this afternoon for a his beloved wife, best friend, and mother of his two children. Delivered with a mix of humor, warmth and heartfelt loss, it was one the most touching tributes to a person I have ever witnessed.
His friend and business partner Ken Carberry is also a one of a kind human being. Kens father was a Boston DJ in the 50's and 60's who went on to own several staions including WROL and the NH staion whose transmitter is on MT Washington. Joran and Ken started CHART productions at Curry in the late 70's with Dave Hemingway and a guy I never met.
Ken brother owns WRCN.
Jordan told me that in the 35 plus years he and Ken have been friends and business partners they never once had a major argument.
I worked with Ken ( who is also a practicing Attorney) at BOS and later at Fenway where he was Sherm Fellers back up on the PA and ran the scoreboard.
