Jordan posted on her social media she is heading back to Florida and Jacksonville and joining sister station WTLV/WJXX as host of First coast living their version of KING’s “New Day NW” her last day is Sunday March 14th and she debuts Monday March 22nd.
 
Saw her earlier on New Day (possibly to announce the aforementioned)... she was moved around just to be demoted to traffic? KING's got more hiring to do for two depts.

I believe she took the traffic anchor position to have a M-F schedule however that didn’t last long as shortly thereafter Ben Dery announced he was moving back to Minnesota and Jordan was back on weekends.

Meanwhile, KING continues to do the Shuffle at SoDo. I guess they shouldn't have forced out their veteran staff a few years back? ;-)
 
No they were just doing what was economical for their Tegna corporate. KING wasn’t alone here. This kind of corporate greed is killing off local news. But the bigger picture is how many new sources of content are available today. Not pretty for local tv news but they will still exist in some weakened form for the next decade. After that, all bets are off.
 
I think it comes down to the economics of the situation. Sure, the veteran anchors are not there anymore, but most of them were near retirement (or past retirement in Jean's case) anyway. What they need to do is find credible younger journalists to fill their shoes. And, let's face it, the days of anchors staying for 20 or 30 years is largely over.
 
She was... not great at weather. Perhaps the new role will suit her.

The big loss of someone with huge growth potential was Ben Dery.
