Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

The last few weeks, I've noticed the spots for Jos. A. Bank men's stores (at least those airing on FNC) have a different announcer. What happened to his predecessor? Did he die or leave in a compensation dispute? Got the inside dirt, Radio-Info-ers?

Re: Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

I've noticed this as well. The newer gentleman doesn't seem as... enthusiastic... as his predecessor when advertising "Buy 1, Get 3 Free."

One of the local Phoenix stations airs the commercials. There are 5 J.A.B. Clothiers in Metro Phoenix.

Re: Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

I wondered if it was Lewis Black doing those commercials

Re: Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

There is a Jos. A. Bank store just up the road, and I almost NEVER see a single car in the parking lot.
Guess they had to try something.

Re: Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

Lewis Black is involved with a radio spot at last check with the New York Lottery. I think it's for their Magic 8 Ball $2 scratchie. As for the Jos. A. Bank ads, I admittedly thought it was an investment firm before I heard the spots and realized it was a clothing store.

Re: Jos. A. Bank pitchman change

On their newer radio ads, it sounds like the new voiceover is the onetime Tribune stations' announcer, Doug Paul.
