Josh Innes returns to WLLZ mornings beginning Monday

He's doing a live evening shift on WLLZ right now as part of the station's tribute to Ozzy.

The station also announced he will be returning as WLLZ's morning host, live & local from Detroit this time, starting Monday!

I thought he performed decently when he was piped in from WNRQ in Nashville a two or three years ago. The only reason that didn't last is because he left iHM to join KSHE in St. Louis.

I think he'll prove to be a big upgrade for WLLZ in morning drive. Nothing wrong with Spencer Graves from Alabama - he's certainly a talented broadcaster - but his show never seemed like the right fit for WLLZ. His style works better on Country radio, in my opinion.

Great news! I'm a fan of Josh Innes. I think he's perfect for this format. Glad that he's reunited with iHeart.

It's also amazing how much iHeart & the classic rock format is honoring Ozzy. WAXQ NY dedicated most of its afternoon show to him today.

I’m glad he got his old job back. This should be a much better fit for him. He always sounded like he was trying to do a morning show in the afternoon on KSHE, and, at least in my opinion, it sounded out of place. Maybe he can get back on WNRQ and WEGR next. He has a lot of talent. Afternoons on KSHE just wasn’t the right spot for him.

The Josh Innes Show is returning to iHeartMedia Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ Detroit to host mornings starting Monday, July 28.

Innes previously had this shift, but it originated elsewhere. He replaces a syndicated product so this is atypical, but nice, in the present radio environment.



It also seems to indicate the iHeart is making an effort with the station.
