Journal to buy WNOX 100.3

It would be ashamed if they moved that transmitter. Granted, there may be some building penetration issues in some parts of Knox, but that signal is a blowtorch and has better reach than any other Knoxville station.

If Arbitron counted trees, 100.3 would be the most valuable signal in TN. Personally 100.3 was cool when I drove at least once a month from Atlanta to Louisville (later Cincinnati) in the 1990's, listening to one station from south of Lexington to almost Cleveland TN. When 100.1 Winchester was upgraded in 1995 or 1996 it did mess with then the WOKI's signal north Richmond KY.

There was a tv ad schedule that was supposed to start April 1 for the new station, but I hear that was delayed until May 6th, so I'd guess that WNOX will remain "as is" until then.

Does anyone know if Oak Ridge FM has settled any of its lawsuits? WMYL bought commercials in every stopset in the ACM Awards show last night.
