I can't speak about Jack in most other markets, but to my knowledge, Jack-FM in Nashville has never played J-Lo or MC Hammer. As afar as not being impressed with the Jack format, I was the same way the first time I heard Jack. I was in Denver in December for business and pleasure and heard Jack in Denver. I also thought it was a big mess. When I went back to Denver in February, I listened to Jack then and it didn't sound like such a big mess then. It is a format that grows on you. I have several friends that used to work in radio and both have stated being former radio personalities, they should hate Jack, which they both did when Jack first came to Nashville, but both are now big fans of Jack. Trust me, you may hate the format at first, but it is now the station I tune in to first to see what they are playing.
