"Journey" Format

Would there be any shot if I 93'S rating's tanked, Cumulus bringing Journey to DFW? They have them in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Huntsville, Ala and Pensacola, Florida.
Cumulus has flipped Country "The Wolf" WWFF Huntsville, Ala., to classic hits as “Journey 93.3,” playing the music of the '80s and '90s. The move took place Friday morning at 9:33 am, as predicted. Then, around 1 pm ET, the company also flipped Hot AC WJLQ “i100” Pensacola, Florida, to "Journey."

I expect a flat out "no way in the world" but wanted to hear what you guys thought.

No way in the world. Because I don't see i93's ratings tanking anytime soon. This is the kind of comment that really makes me scratch my head and wonder about the people that post on this board. Yes, if i93's ratings tank, I'm sure Cumulus might consider changing formats. But considering they've got a 2.6, and they're in the top 10 cume-ers in the market, I think the odds of them changing formats is somewhere between slim and none. Did you look at what their ratings were before you posted this? I'm sure if The Ticket's ratings tank, or if the Wolf's ratings tank they'll also consider changing those formats. But with a 2.6, don't look at i93. You should look at KRLD-Fm with a 1.6, and KRLD_Am with a 1.5, and wonder how long CBS is going to tolerate mediocre ratings, and what those might flip to. Or check other threads on this board and wonder if the Eagle and their 1.8 is really going to flip...

I don't see the Wolf's rating tanking. - "the people who post on this board" are people that listen to the radio just as you do. There is no need to be snippy. There are others that are/were worked in radio. I didn't look at CBS-just because I looked at Cumulus only.

I'd like to see a simulcast of KRLD on 105.3. I can honestly see the eagle flipping as well. there is a thing called "it was a simple question, don't shoot the messenger" :)

I can see this happening to one of the country stations if KEGL flips to country. It said on RadioInsight that Cumulus may change one of the country stations to compete wwith one of Clear Channel's stations I'm thinking MIX. Maybe flip KSCS to "Journey 96.3".
