JRR Questions

Have they changed their Moniker? Are they still calling themselves "Real Rock 101-1?" Or is it now JRR 101.1? And why would they change that? It says that on Wikipedia. Doesn't make sense to me if that is the case.

Can someone give me the recent history of the jocks...Am I correct that Buckethead started out at night? The lineup then was Bubba The Love Sponge, Crash, Fiasco, and Buckethead? Then Fiasco to mornings and Buckethead LIVE in the afternoon?

How long did Fiasco do afternoons? How long has Crash been in middays, and has he ever done any other shift there?

If Buckethead goes to mornings do you think that they will actually put a LIVE jock in the afternoon?

Buckethead did start at night on WJRR I believe in about early 2002, right around the time that O-Rock started to gain in the ratings, prompting JRR to go more alternative in their active rock playlist, only playing Metallica when it came to the oldies (remember when you used to hear Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, etc, mixed in with Tool, Staind). I do know that he came from XL 1067, and was pretty popular there.

The Fiasco started as the "Lunchtime Fiasco" sometime after the WDIZ/WJRR merge of July 1996 during Pat Lynch's old Midday shift. Basically Taco Bob would come in (Who I believe was doing nights at the time) at noon and do an hour show with Lynch. Lynch eventually moved to the afternoons from midday sometime around 1999 and Taco Bob was put on with him, creating the "Afternoon Fiasco".

In early 2002 the fiasco went to mornings for awhile, only to be replaced by Bubba The Love Sponge. When this happened, the show went back to afternoons. After Bubba failed, the Fiasco was put back on mornings where it would remain until its strange disappearance last week.

Crash actually started on the old 99.9 Fm out of Daytona in about 1992 I believe. He came to the GREAT WDIZ in 1993 where I believe he did afternoons from 1993-1996. In the summer of 1996, THE GREAT WDIZ merged with WJRR and pretty muck all of the WJRR jocks were replaced with the GREAT WDIZ jocks, (I never understood this , because at the time, WJRR was kicking THE GREAT WDIZ's ass in the ratings with their original line-up). I believe that during the time that Crash was at WJRR from 1996-1997, he was heard on numerous shifts. He did mornings for awhile, and I believe settled on the Midday shift sometime during 1999 when Lynch went to afternnoons....

There could be some errors in what I have posted, but I think that I answered some of your questions.....

Yea Bucket head started in Xl as a the intern of doc and johnny which lead to him having that damn Saturday night show. Which after a few months he was moved to Real rock /jrr to have The BS which he started the rubber room which later Dickermen took over...

Pat and taco was moved to Tampa due to the buba the love sponge where they met launa....

After The nipple gate at the super bowl ..Wjrr dropped him due to FCC...Which cause the them to return to Wjrr to do the morring show...

*during the time of the void of having pat and taco in 98 rock they had i believe ether crash or bucket head doing morriing for a bit...*

At that point if i remember right.. It was Pat and taco morring then crash then BS Then dickerman...

Then for some reason later on that year..They added launa which made the show really boring.... I almost started to like her...but then she had to **** over the two people who brought her to this city...

Actually, cachi, when the Fiasco was on 98 Rock in Tampa, they were also on WJRR. They were simulcast kind of like Buckethead is now, but I think they were live on both stations.

Where are the ratings for..." Hard on Saturday Nights"??? How about a Friday Night and Saturday night 3 hr show? Or a Hard Weekend for 48-72 hrs like over Thanksgiving.
