JT The Brick is back on WEEI 93.7

JT The Brick
@JTTheBrick
We are proud to announce that we are BACK in the @WEEI family again! Can't thank @jasonlwolfe enough for his loyalty #bostonstrong. #1again

I assume that JT is going to 93.7. Does that mean FSR will do weekend overnights also? I want Ben Maller back on Boston radio.

The tweets don't specify whether the "WEEI" in question is FM or AM; I'd assume FM too but who knows. And does this include the simulcast stations? (see below)

This means Boston will have all the major networks (exc ESPN Deportes): ESPN and Fox on WEEI
(even if all they carry is JT, don't know about Maller)...NBC and Yahoo on WUFC, CBS on WBZ-FM

Now:
WEEI (AM or FM?)--JT
103.7 RI: As far as I know Fox has no affiliate in that area
105.5 Western MA: WHLL 1450 is sports but I don't know if they run Fox; may have switched to CBS

96.3 on the Cape: no Fox Sports affiliate
and then there's Keene, Lakes Region NH, Portland area etc...well they could carry JT, etc
on all their stations as far as I know (and no word if the Boston affiliate is tech. 850 or 93.7).
Supposedly 850 is totally ESPN, though they do depart from it for some play by play etc.

By the way someone said earlier an ID for WEEI-FM during a Sox game was wrong:
"Sports Radio WEEI, Boston. WEEI-FM and HD1 Lawrence Boston" (when the game was on 93.7
only)

Technically "Sports Radio WEEI, Boston" was a slogan/nickname not an actual ID. This was followed by the actual ID "WEEI-FM and HD-1 Lawrence Boston" Even though the actual ID for 850
is "WEEI Boston" here they are using it as a service mark.
Jingles for WKLB say "WKLB...Boston!" but the actual ID is "WKLB Waltham-Boston". That one time per hour they have to do the actual ID, but at other times they can use jingles, etc. as service
marks that are not actual legal IDs. (Same happened when 93.7 was Mike-- "Mike 93.7...Boston."
BUT during TOH: "WMKK Lawrence Boston")

if I'm not mistaken, I think WHLL has "CBS Radio"
The only other "Fox Sports Radio" in Western Mass area is 1410 in Hartford. I don't know how their signal is in the day or night in Springfield area.
It'd be nice for 93.7 to put on "Fox Sports Radio" on (every) overnight. But, as I always said, and I will say it again, only Program Management knows what they want

Yes I think WHKK 1450 was said to be one of the CBS Sports Radio affiliates; a list appeared on the CBS Sports website (some other stations up in Maine, etc.)--even if a station just carried one show.
Certainly in Springfield area, ESPN is on 105.5 (and 97.9 from nearby Windsor Locks CT) and I think
1450 had Fox but switched to CBS.

And yes the 1410 in Hartford went to Fox when 97.9 became ESPN.

WPOP day signal http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WPOP&service=AM&status=L&hours=D
Night http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WPOP&service=AM&status=L&hours=N

Sometimes it comes in faintly in Boston area.

CBS affiliate list (CBS Sports) http://radio.cbssports.com/stations/
Pg 2 of that lists WHLL. Interesting: not only is WBZ-FM listed but so is WBZ-AM... ?!?

I have wondered if the other WEEI properties would pick up JT or stay with ESPN...I don't think
there are other Fox affiliates in the various markets, so maybe...? (Not sure how accurate but
Wiki's list of FSR affiliates includes WEEY 93.5 Keene so they'd be running him already as it is?
Allegedly WPKZ 1280 (& 105.3) Fitchburg is an FSR affiliate but they have no prob putting it on EEI-FM.

"The Big Jab" in Portland ME (96.3) may be a Fox Affilate; WEEI's "network" is on 95.9 and 95.5 up
there...we'll see about 103.7

Yes, and we'll have to see if they wind up picking up other Fox Sports shows or if Sports Hub still has some kind of affiliation with FSR. 93.7 does have local till midnight I think, and JT starts at 1 am
(don't know if they would pick up the mid-1 am show from FSR)--as for weekends, we'll see if they
run Maller, etc. on 93.7

The deal they have with ESPN may say they have to run a certain amount of their shows on the FM
as well as 850 but it took them awhile to get to agree to get JT. Whether Sports Hub had an ironclad deal with Fox or not, I don't know.
WEEI's site so far hasn't published the schedule beyond today (5/5)

Which part of the announcement didnt you comprehend?!
It's only JT The Brick that's being added.

Well it said:
>>"Adding J.T.’s show provides a great balance to our overnight portfolio as we already air a very solid program in ESPN RADIO’s SPORTSCENTER TONIGHT on 850 AM."

Which led me to believe they may stick with ESPN on AM only overnights and perhaps run some other Fox stuff on the FM. Maybe indeed it's just JT and some other ESPN programs will air overnight on
both AM and FM...

UPDATE
Well the WEEI (FM) sched has been posted and indeed it's just JT. Still ESPN mid-1 am on
weeknights.
