Juan Williams: Hates NPR Management - Loves Reporters

David Hinckley reports in today's New York Daily News that Juan Williams, out campaigning for defunding public radio, praises NPR reporters in the field and the quality of their on-air product:
"I think the world of [NPR reporters]."

"I don't care what your political stripes" are, he said, "if you knew some of the reporters at NPR, you'd say you know the very best in American journalism.

Williams made the comments in an interview with Talkers' Magazine. He also says he misses radio. And he claims that Democrats' support for continued funding of public radio shows that public radio is biased to the left. This despite audience studies showing NPR's audience is about equally divided between self-reported liberals and conservatives (plus some who describe themselves politically in other ways). Last month, Williams played the race card and attacked NPR as an "all White operation," and that management thought they "did better with White women."
