Judge rules against RFB

(Note: It's possible they still exist as a webcaster only. The station's
website http://rfb.fm looks like it hasn't been updated to tell of the
FCC decision, yet.)

BRATTLEBORO -- A federal judge says radio free brattleboro can never again broadcast unless the station gets a license from the Federal Communications Commission.

At this time no appeal is planned, marking the end of the station's fight to operate without a federal license.

... A new low-power station, Brattleboro Community Radio, has applied for a 100-watt license. It hopes to begin broadcasting later this year.

Actually 107.7 according to a page linked to the RFB site (from
ibrattleboro):

"The FCC has issued a construction permit for Vermont Earth Works for a low power FM station at 107.7FM. What does that now mean for rfb? I think I recall that when they were seeking a town resolution that they pledged to stop broadcasting when a local non-profit was granted a Low Power FM License."

"NEW VT BRATTLEBORO USA

Licensee: VERMONT EARTH WORKS, INC.
Service Designation: FL Low Power FM (LPFM) station or application
Channel/Class: 299L1 Frequency: 107.7 MHz Construction Permit
