Judith Durham, lead singer of The Seekers

Sadly, No mention of her passing on National News, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.
The Seekers only had a handful of hits in the US, and all were in 1965-67. As good a singer as she was, she had no presence in the US apart from the Seekers. She had no charting records as a solo act in the US.

Georgy Girl, Another you, charted at 1/4 US and #1Uk. Durham a Very distinctive voice of the 60's

Likely because anyone remembering the US hits would be in their 70's now, and that is not the target audience of network TV which is pure 18-49.

Not only that, but they were big before Australian acts made it really big in the US. They had their hits, but they were in no way as big as later acts like the Bee Gees, Olivia Newton-John, AC/DC, or even Helen Reddy. Frankly, by the 1970s, they were pretty much forgotten outside their home country and maybe the UK.

My first thought when I saw this was who wrote those hits Another You and Georgy Girl? Turns out it was a British folkie named Tom Springfield, who also happens to be the brother of singer Dusty Springfield. He is still alive today and is 88.

Her Discogs page mentions one solo US LP.
