Jules Shear

I was listening to an AC in Brazil (GLOBO-FM) and they played a total "Oh Wow!" song from the 80s that I totally forgot about...Jules Shear-I'm Steady. It really sounded good. I read that he's from Pittsburgh. Does anybody here remember this artist? Did he ever get any local airplay?

Around 1978-79 he had an album out as Jules & the Polar Bears. It was promoted heavily to college radio but I don't think it saw any real commercial success. As far as I know, Jules did some producing after that.

He wrote the Bangle's hit "If She Knew What She Wants". Didn't he have a show on MTV or VH1 for awhile?
