Julia Jacobs - Nites - WOOF FM

Well Squ...I mean Johnny (how's April?)...I only have access to the last book under Doc & Duffie ownership...Because when Styles/Magic took over, I made the jump to TV sales...But what I'm seeing is Stevie, Brad, and Jason all #1 women 25-54 and 18-34. With (I think I can post this) 20+ shares.

After that, the music was screwed up, and the rest is history.

Who knows, maybe you lost your copy of the book in the mve to Alexandria.

But if/when you come back to the wiregrass, bring some of the cajun mudbugs and I'll show you my copy.

I think Downloadchoice is...Amie Pollard..I bet $100,000 dollars.

I know! It's Wayne Register! LOL. Most people here won't even know who that is.

Hey idiots! It's JulieJ!

Not Julia. She's going by JULIE JACOBS on the air...

Good to have her back. She kicked ass on KMX.

Go WOOF!

Bark! Bark! ::)

Genius.....Woof Hiring John Houston!
Retarded and wearing a helmet on the short bus to school...Hiring Julie Jacobs as Nights!
Here I was saying to myself, "God I wish I could work there they are really on it"!!! JULIE JACOBS!!!! AYFKM (That's texting bs I don't understand for ARE YOU ______ KIDDING ME?) Don't even get me started....calm happy place. Serenity now!!

Actually, the BEST airstaff at KMX was:

BJ & Tim Godwin mornings
Wendy Middays
John Houston afternoons
Rod Conners nights
Tim Godwin overnights

That's when KMX ruled the air waves...but alas all good things had to come to an end =(

I was actually partial to "Jessie". I thought she was the best female jock ever on KMX.

Well the only reason I didn't mention Tim/Apollo before is because I knew it would be impossible for him to be a part of the lineup again. :'(

Wendy pfffft. They would have to find new real estate to accomadate the size of her head.

Hey More Cowbell...You are right! Jessie was the best female on KMX! Nikki MacGregor was pretty good back in the late 70s and very early 80s too!

OMGLOL...I hope you know her before you talk like that about her. I know her and confident and EGO are two different things. (I'm not being ugly and you are entitled to your opinion, so please don't take that wrong.)

Ah, I might be thinking of a different Wendy. There have been several Wendy's on Dothan radio through the years.

In any event, hats off to Miss Agnes and the crew at WOOF for keeping radio real!

Easy children, we've had one thread moved to time out this weekend. Like their style or not, like their personality or not, if you ever worked for KMX in Enterprise for any length of time it really shines on your resume. It usually speaks of your professionalism and your ability to perform well under extreme duress (Weather, etc). I certainly don't hear any of that about the present staff. With John and Julie gone, Linda is the only Enterpriser left. Though Linda and Julie were not there as long as most the influence was still there. Think about all the people that went through Enterprise and what they are doing now, WOW. The common thread for all is not just Doc Miller but more important to them was Terry Duffie, even the ones he help "move on" to others places and things. Remember "back in the day", Duffie didn't ask you to sign a non-compete, he looked at it as a challenge to make you better and THEN to compete with you. Ask Hal Edwards and all the others.

Good points Stewy. Not taking away from KMX as professionalism was a hallmark there.
But I would rank WOOF right there with them.
The call letters WOOF look very good on a resume also.
Lots of folks from WOOF AM & FM have moved on to bigger pastures(markets).
All very professional jocks. No non-competes there either.
And speaking of weather I seem to remember that during hurricane Opal
that for a long period of that storm they were the only stations(am & fm) on the air.
Until DJR got their generator going it was eerie how silent the FM band was except at 99.7
The Simpsons (Agnes & Leigh) are always striving for professionalism for Dothan radio.
It is my belief that WOOF & KMX set the bar for professionalism in this market
and in the past made each other better.
