Julie Devereaux?

Has she left WMEX already? Last week I heard Ben on one afternoon (don't recall the day) but figured he was filling in.

This morning during the morning show it was mentioned that Larry Justice was coming up next followed by "Your Friend Ben" doing his show with no mention of Julie or him filling in.

I never listened to WROR so wasn't familiar with her but she was doing a great job.

Shes not on the program schedule.

Ive always wondered how they afford to pay people, as I'm sure in addition to the note on the station that ed Perry is holding or the bank loan, theyre paying to lease space at WATD.

I've not listened tyo WMEX, but I've heard from multiple people there arent a ton of commercials

It certainly seems like some of the WMEX folks are in it for the love of the job, Ben, Jimmy, Larry..... so while money is important, so is the passion for what they do.

Julie is quite the pro... not saying the others arent, but after leaving WROR, she probably wanted to stay on in Boston and took whatever opportunity she could... and WMEX offered whatever they had to to get her.

And a pro wont work just for the passion.

And/or there couyld've been a disagreement in management or programming styles.

Take from that what you will

Should have checked out the web site. The commercials have increased some vs where they were are few months ago but likely not to the point it needs to be to cover everything.

I enjoy the station so I'll be listening as long as it is around.

Julie is still doing Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-6 PM. I heard her last Thursday, and they announced that she's going down to just those two days per week. If you click on "On Air Schedule", you'll see she's listed on those two afternoons. On Air Schedule | WMEX 1510 AM

Ben is back on afternoons Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2-6 PM. (Except on Fridays he starts at 3:30 PM after co-owner Tony LaGreca's all Italian artists oldies and nostalgia show).

I'm not sure, but I may have heard that Julie may be dealing with medical issues. I heard a snipet of Larry and Julie briefly mention something about medical issues in their show transition last week, but I missed part of the announcement, and I wasn't able to listen closely at the time. I don't know for sure whether they were discussing Julie or someone else.

Ok, well I wish her well. Glad she is still around. Didn't get to listen yesterday so missed hearing her Tuesday stint.
