According to the Sacramento Biz Journal, weather anchor Julie Watts was let go this week due to budget cuts. It's unknown if anyone else has been let go from there.
Apparently, since That dude Gulstan Dart got hired and Dave and Lois' retirement, it somewhat attributed to her leaving. She was formerly on KGPE-TV in Fresno in the mornings and on weekends before heading to KCRA in December 2005. I wonder where she will go enxt?
Byron Miranda was out at KCBS/KCAL from 2002-2005 and KPRC in Houston 2005-2006. He would later appear as a freelance on KTVU 2006, KNTV 2007-08 again at KTVU Early 2008 and KIRO 7 in the Summer of '08 before he is on at KCRA this past Christmas.
Tonight Feb 14, Julie was doing the weather on KPIX CBS 5, San Francisco. Might be free lance duty. I am sure she will be on the 11pm edition of CBS 5 Eyewitness News. Maybe even tomorrow also.
I think she's freelancing for KPIX. Probably as a fill-in or some sorts, but I'm kinda happy to see her again since that overrated noob Byron Miranda wrongfully took her spot. I no longer watch KCRA because they brag too much about how they are #1 and they overdo it.
