Although it's still a day early, I could not find a July 14 TDITVH thread from Stanislav from last year, so it looks like another DIY edition is in order. I'll start things off with a few birthdays (my time is limited on this research)--and feel free to comment/add more events in TV history occurring on July 14:
1923: Dale Robertson ("Tales of Wells Fargo," "The Iron Horse," "Dynasty," "J.J. Starbuck" born in Harrah, OK.
1927: Journalist and 1970-82 NBC Nightly News anchor John Chancellor (d. 1996) was born in Chicago.
1930: Actress Polly Bergen ("To Tell the Truth" panelist from 1956-61," "The Winds of War," among many other TV and film roles) born in Knoxville, TN.
1932: Former football star, actor, and onetime security guard for Robert F. Kennedy (he was guarding Ethel Kennedy at the time of RFK's assassination in Los Angeles in June 1968, and subdued Sirhan Sirhan), Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier ("Daniel Boone," "Make Room for Granddaddy," "White Shadow") was born in Cuthbert, GA.
