July 8: This Day in TV History

CBS indeed DID re-air it back then!

A couple of new independant TV stations were also coming on the air in the summer of 1968 (not neccisarly on this precise date):

WSWO-TV Springfield (near Dayton), Ohio signed-on (now WBDT)

and WXIX-TV Newport/Cincinnati...the better of the two. WSWO had financial difficulties from 1968 to 1970 and went silent,came back on in 1972 under a new owner using stolen equipment,went silent again and returned as Christain WTJC in 1980 and again in the 90s as WDPX (Pax TV) before becoming WBDT. (Dayton's WB..later CW)
