Three more reasons why the time is now for KFWhyEye 95~Five!

Cox just made a similar move in Atlanta...as of today, News/Talk WSB is on both 750 AM and (ironically) 95.5 FM.

Below is a great article on the subject. It mentions that the previous station/format on 95.5 (Rhythmic CHR "95.5 the Beat") moves to the HD2 signal of 95.5 (and online)...presumably as a music-only station.

I'm sure CC is taking notice. :)

Our advise to Clear Channel - Get off the danged fence and build it!

You are going by average person NOT raitings and when you go by ratings KNIX and KMLE are tied for 7th

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I had to point out that KOOL played "OMD - If You Leave" this morning.

I officially feel old. :'( That is all.

Recently on KOOL, I've heard Dire Straits, Rick Springfield, Van Halen, Aerosmith... and a LOT of disco. Weird.

If your observations are from beyond noon today, make note it's a 70s weekend, so the playlist is certainly different.

I was speaking only about Derek's observations. Yes, there has been a handful of even more 80s songs added to the KOOL playlist (but obviously you won't hear them on a "Super 70s Weekend.")

I've heard "If You Leave" a few times this week.

I predict the first 80s weekend to happen in 2012. ;D

They've started mentioning "the greatest hits of the 60's, 70's and 80's" as part of their top-of-the-hour ID. Lots of changes in the last couple of weeks, probably coming from the new PD. The Beatle Brunch show is gone from Saturday mornings. Steve Goddard now voicetracks that hour before his syndicated "The 70's". Lots of disco during the week, not just during the Super 70's Weekend. :) More interesting 80's tunes that I've heard: "I'll Melt With You" by Modern English, "Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Hart and "Who Can It Be Now" by Men at Work. Definitely not your grandfather's KOOL anymore!
