July PPM's

Nothing earth-shattering, but surprising lows at WMGK and B101. Oh, and you-know-who is probably a little perturbed at Rumba has cracked the 2's (not that it matters whether it's a 1 a 2 or a 9).

Interesting how dominant WIP is. If you added their FM and streaming ratings (which technically you can’t for advertisers) they have the largest total audience. And where did that WPHT-AM bump come from? Election season?

If you REALLY wanna get him going, tell him that Rumba has a better share than 104.5

Larry, that bump for WPHT is likely a pre-election bump. Everyone is talking politics. Just wait until the next survey, when the Democratic party ticket change and Trump assassination attempt are reflected. I expect a pretty big bump for WPHT and WHYY from now until Kringle starts being the subject of radio.

It’s funny here in 2024 to see the venerable WIP name (nearly) atop the ratings where it also was decades ago. (I get the differences, it’s just kind of fun.)

But their reign will soon end, for WPEN is once again recycling Mike Missanelli, sure to propel them to new dominance on the 17th try. 😉😉😉😉

And good for Rumba and its audience.

WMGK is interesting. Could just be a blip, but could it also be a tipping point between the Grand Funk Railroad/Beatles/Fleetwood Mac classic rock listeners vs. the Nirvana/Metallica/RHCP/Green Day listeners as the format evolves?
