Jump 97.1 to become Lit 97.1

The WTLT call letter mystery has been solved. I'm a fan of Jump 97.1, but i'm kind of excited to see someone challenge 104.5 directly. I'm wondering if they will be Mainstream Urban (which Knoxville has never had) or Rhythmic CHR like Hot. I operate a local internet Rhythmic CHR station, but it's finally great to see some terrestrial competition to Hot.

I thought WKGN was Urban about 20 or so years ago.
It was Urban AC I believe. Not mainstream hip-hop. However this station is a little confusing. It's supposed to be hip-hop but i'm hearing mostly r&b. The imaging says otherwise. Musicaly it's not sounding very "Lit". It sounds closer to Jammin 99.7 than Hot 104.5. It's only the first day though so maybe more will be added.

Forget what I said earlier about it being closer to Jammin. The hip-hop hits are there now. I judged it a bit early. It's sounding a lot closer to Hot 104.5 now and i'm really enjoying it. Plenty of throwbacks too. Around 5pm it really started getting "Lit".

So are you saying the music is dayparted?
