Any thoughts or observations?

Very interesting that KUFX beat KSAN in San Francisco, the AllAccess PPM Analysis article even shows KUFX at a tue for #6 18-34.

Considering that San Mateo and Alameda aren't exactly filled with Classic Rock-friendly demographics and KUFX is spotty in San Francisco and Marin...

KSAN, KOSF and KITS can be scratchy down by San Jose, and there are no alternative or active rock signals with which to compete. KUFX therefore is the most palatable FM option for a rather sizable chunk of the population. KBAY dumping rock & pop based Classic Hits for more of a rhythm flavored Classic Hits approach, which was then followed by the flip to Country, has likely benefitted KUFX, too.

They KBAY gave away their audience for sure, how crazy was that? Nobody learns any lessons from bay area country radio history time and time again. KRTY was a successful station because they well served their advertisers, audience, and community. Which they continue to do as a streaming operation and they sound great in what they are doing.

Yeah, Alpha should have just bought KRTY and their intellectual property and sold off KKIQ, KKDV, and KUIC.

It's unfair to judge KBAY's performance as a Country station during a survey period where KRTY was still Country for nearly the entire time.

KRTY's very loyal audience wanted to patronize the station until it signed off.

Thanks for clarifying that. I was shocked to see the 0.9 for KBAY, now it makes sense.
