June Millington on WMBR with Alex today

Great interview. Hopefully Eli P can put the IPod up of the show. Heard Eli was in the background there today.

June Millington of FANNY was on Visual Radio a few years back. She's at Berklee next Friday night - a Fanny reunion?

Yes, it's a reunion of three of the four original members of Fanny, the first major all-female rock band (who played all their own instruments, not just sang) in the early 70's, playing together for the first time in over thirty years. Their album cuts got airplay on WBCN in the early 70's, and they had a couple of top 40 hits in the mid-70's.

I set up the interview for Alex McNeil. He did a great job as usual, and June was a lot of fun. It was great to have her as our guest today. The show can be streamed here for two weeks from today:

You may first hear the last few minutes of the previous alt-rock show (Late Riser's Club) ending. Then, Alex came on at noon and played an hour of various female artists of the 60's and early 70's to lead up to the interview which began at about 1 PM, about halfway through the show.
