June Nielsen numbers are here

June numbers: Houston/Galveston

Mid nines for Sunny.

Eagle almost to the sevens.

Mega continues its surge.

La Ley bounces back a bit.

MediaCo stations seem to be languishing. Reported layoffs cause?

Don’t think I’ve seen Pride Radio register before.

The Beat is beating more faintly. It and The Box have both lost combined share recently.

The biggest story is KLTN just doing so horrible. The downfall of that station needs to be studied. And it's not like we can blame it on the helicopter accident since they were doing bad before the crash.

Also my condolences to those who keep hoping for Mega 101's demise. The station is now only 12 years away from matching Rock 101's 34 years of existence. With the way trends are going, I think Mega will eventually have a much larger legacy than Rock 101 had.

I don’t think anyone was hoping for the demise of Mega, but just noting it had been in a swoon at a time when Audacy has been moving sportstalkers to FM. We can likely forget about that here for now with its recent rebound.

However if The Beat continues to sink, would iHeart start thinking of an FM home for SportsTalk 790 and its Astros and Rockets content?

Audacy has been quite content with their strategically placed spanish language stations in Houston and Dallas. Many of you have just failed to see the bigger picture.
