June ratings posted

Wait, what? When did KFI move to a small signal strength station? Or did you mean Limbaugh's numbers?

Obviously it was Limbaugh's numbers that dropped, but he was dropping before the move to KEIB and underperforming the station.

Its sad to see KPWR getting beaten by KRRL, and even dropping the Rhythmic Pop/Dance tracks isn't helping them improve their ratings. Sooner or later Emmis will have to clean house.

I think Power 106 should just re-add the Rhythmic Pop/Dance tracks back into their playlist. It seems as if by becoming Urban-leaning, they set themselves up to fall into an even deeper hole. We'll see what happens in the coming days.

Oh, and if Power 106 and Emmis have to get off the air, do you forsee Real 92.3 embracing dancey Rhythmic product to go after Kiis and amp should this scenario become true?

In the core demo of 18 to 34 KPWR now has a 5.1 to KRRL's 4.3. The morning show is a virtual tie.

So much for either station cleaning house, then, LOL. It amazes me that some non-radio people still refuse to accept the virtual meaninglessness of the 6+ numbers, even after you post results like these. Sounds like the agencies with clients targeting 18-34 are getting more than enough bang for the buck with KPWR or KRRL.
