June Ratings

even with not every station showing there are somethings that stand out with the new PPM numbers,,,

Like WRKZ 99.7 and WCGX 106.7 got beat by CD102.5

WCKX is still in a slide while WNCI is solid at 10.0

Magic 106.3 is climbing again, on that small signal. and looking back that move really hasn't hurt them as much as predicted. How many other stations in this city would have held onto their audience so well with a downgrade like they got.

WTVN is down but June is usually a down month with Joel and Corby both having time off in the month and even Rush and Beck had some time off. couple that with the launch of WMNI and one month can be explained, let see if that holds with the next book.

I could be wrong, but I somehow doubt WMNI had much to do with it.  As for Rush and Beck taking time off, maybe that's one reason talkers had such a poor month PPM-wide.  Will be interesting to see if TVN and the others bounce back up next month.

WCOL is *still* #1 (tied with NCI),  That sure is a long streak of #1's for them.

WCOL has also been #1 in the money demo, P25-54, for almost a year. Big congrats to them!

Amazing that WWCD has a higher rating than 99.7 and 106.7, after many people were complaining about the frequency change from 101.1 to 102.5.

Can RadiOhio and Saga really not afford the money to subscribe to Arbitron?

WCOL looks great M25-54, W25-54, and A25-54. WCOL W25-54 is third in morning drive behind a tied WSNY and WNCI though. Congrats to Saga on a nice month. WNND ties WRKZ and WBWR for fifth with M25-54.

Sure seem to be a lot of ties you're reporting. I guess the lower the numbers, the more likely it is that a lot of them are going to be the same.

The meters create ratings compression. After WCOL and WNCI at the top (1.1 and .9 respectively), there are 13 stations from .6 to .3 or 12 stations from .5 to a .3 rating with A25-54

It will be interesting to see how X106.7 does when it gets to it's new tower. Or they might do what they did with 105.7 when it was alternative on a rimshot move it into town and switch the format.
