Just a curious question

Just for kicks and grins last night I downloaded MediaMonkey just to have something top tinker with. I know it is a long shot but are you able to use MediaMonkey to actually stream IE any addons for encoders and settings for voice? Like I say I know it is a long shot, but was curious... Have a good weekend everybody. CC1

buy a small outboard audio mixer..many available..Beringer makes one for about 40.00..get a decent mic..patch from the line out on the mixer into the mic in or line in on your pc's sound card..there ya go..now you can talk over your music when played over the net..doesn't matter what software is being used..or browser..you will need a host to channel the show out to the web..sites like Ustream, Livestream, or Justin tv..there are many others..those are the most used..it's free to use as well...up to a point..Livestream, where I do a show gives you space for up to 50 listeners at any given time at no charge....that's more than some AM radio stations have...lol Cost of a mixer and a decent mic..around 150.00..have fun

First off if your talking about Internet Radio you want to use something that passes the meta data to a server and you want to be heard by more than a few people experimenting with broadcasting. I'd suggest broadcasting to an Icecast server or Shoutcast server if you plan to play music online. Keep in mind to be legal you need to have a royalty license easy to get via http://startinternetradio.tk for USA and Canada and now it works with Shoutcast V2 as well as V1. If you don't have lots of money don't worry you can go with RadioLoyalty and still get tons of listeners using a FREE stream host. Software is NOT free for good broadcasting software. I recommend SAM Broadcaster 2013 and don't use their built in AGC for broadcasting Audio. Instead use Stereo Tool (free version has a message every 12 hours saying "This sound is processed by Stereo Tool head to stereotool.com for information). This should not be a problem if your a RadioLoyalty broadcaster. Just remember to start Stereo Tool at say 15 minutes after the hour, schedule Radio ads to play at 14:59 after each hour and the message will never cut over any song.

Stereo Tool when set to Web Radio Pheonix - Pristine will make your Internet Radio station HUMM even if you use a standard built in sound card. and stream at 128K all day long.
