Just a tidbit

Just a few random things that I think need to happen:

1) Dj's on 94 rock. Why nobody? Why even have a station?
2) The people who posted about "station vehicle"..you watch too much mtv, get a job.
3) The saint needs to get actual Djs, those college kids sound terrible.
4) If Boomer can get 10 bucks to embarrass himself on the radio, I'll give him 20 bucks to do his own show. I'm sure it'll be quite entertaining.
5) The over night kids sound better then what's happening between 10-2, flipity flop them.
6) Does anyone else notice that Uncle Vito starts his break with a phoner with.."VITO" no calls..no Id...just "vito" I actualy like that. I think we shoul dall do that. Just picture Dj Biz picking up the line on Jamz..."BIZ!" Funny stuff right there.
7) Is anyone going to catch on to the two person afternoon drive show? Cody,Foxx, JR, PI... great.
8) Why the Dream Doctor on the Buzz? I like the idea..but not for a night show.
9) When you go to a remote, why not have games and prizes that everyone can take part in? Some people have prize wheels, etc. Why not get original....
10) Why is it that sales people usualy make more then a dj? Nothing wrong with sales...fine people I'm sure, but they are only selling cause the dj is rackin' up the numbers...we should fix that.

In answer to #1, Jack FM has no DJ's either, maybe 94 rock is copying them. I agree with #3 too, i tried listening to the saint on 88.3 and they are terrible, plus a lot of the songs go to fast too and it sounds like they don't have any or much sound quality either. You forgot to add that WTRY is very sicking now with that same old song burnout playlist too everyday and the dj i find most annoying is that woman jamie thats with John Gabriel in the morning, why even have her? Can't they just let John do the morning show himself? wouldn't he be much better solo 6am-10am than with her? Also why even have that voice-tracked dj sherry van dyke on all day from 10am-3pm, they should move Tom Robinson up to that show and have Jackie Donovan or someone live do the 3-7 show. Also the jingles and the announcer need to go fast and bad. WTRY needs all the cbsfm jingles custom made from Jams Productions for them like the Do It Again & 2004 packages and Tony Griffin Productions CBSFM one's too. And WTRY needs Ziggie Pelzer Used to be voice of CBSFM for many years, even Chuck Riley the other voice of cbsfm would sound better than the guy they have now. And last but not least WTRY Needs The CBSFM Reverb BAD!!!!! They're sound quality is terrible, either too low, bassey or somethings go louder than others just like CBSFMs was after they killed off the reverb.

Boomer is quite entertainner, good guy too. He's happy being PT, was offered full time, turned it down.

I really, strongly believe the DJ should start out making a minmum of $25,000, then with experience be bumped up accordingly. The sales people should be starting out commission only and then working up to salary..

-88.3 is a college station...why are they trying to sound like FLY or KISS? College is where you play the records that aren't on the charts!

-As far as the station vehicle post goes, just a bit of fun, mate. I think everyone else would agree. By the way, employed, in the biz...maybe someone needs to lighten up and not spend all day online.

-Jackie Donovan is way more fun than the VT'ed jock.

-The Dream Doctor stuff on Buzz made my eyes glaze over almost as fast as the Wolf Psychic Friends Network.

-Anyone know what WQBK is planning after Howard's gone?

Perhaps they're trying to help students interested in radio hone their skills so they can actually get a job in radio when they graduate. Sounding like FLY or KISS goes a lot farther toward that aim than playing "Joey & the Brainfarts".

College radio used to be where a lot of bands that are big now got their start...that seems to be dying.
As far as honing their chops, it's a given that college radio is gonna suck...so what did you do with the money your parents gave you for radio lessons, Billy?
They would be better served by trying to get an internship...they're out there. That way they can learn the harsh realities of radio.
If you want any job security, learn some broadcast engineering skills too...not enough competent engineers in the world.
By the way, Joey and the Brainfarts thank you for the big ups.

I'm guessing if you heard her on the weekend she was vt'd since she does the morning shift on GY, River and PYX traffic. That doesn't take away from the fact that she is a very versatile and engaging air talent and is often wasted in the land of traffic.
