just curious about KOGO's IBOC?

Kudos to KOGO for not broadcasting IBOC for the last few days... but..

I was wondering what caused it? Last tuesday morning during Rush's show I was listening to 600. KOGO went off the air for a few seconds, then when they came back, there was no IBOC. In tuning in several times midday since then, I have not heard it.

Another couple IBOC related things - once several weeks ago I heard KOGO's IBOC on at night. Did they forget to shut it off or something? And, on a few occasions, I've heard KXNT's IBOC on at night. (BTW, what I'd like to see is the results when KXNT and KMXE both run IBOC at night, with KMXE on their daytime pattern.)

For those of you in L.A., is it true that KDIS is running reduced bandwidth daytime (like 5kHz or something like that)? Also, are they full-bandwidth (10kHz) at night in either C-Quam or mono? I can't get the signal well enough in El Caj to be able to tell.

KDIS is an LA station for Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. You might have better luck directing questions to there.

In Band On Channel testing is allowed during the graveyard/overnight on a limited basis.

Where is KNXT? You might mean KNX-AM Los Angeles. KNXT was Channel 2 at one time ..... (Hense the T- in Telebision. and Telebision is good.) If so ... you might direct your question to the the la LA board.

So I don't get at least a 20nV/m signal in El Cajon? I must not be in their service area then... and, since the signal is apparently not at least 50pV/km (yes, that's PICOvolts per KILOmeter), the station seems to not be protected here by at least 60dB from interference from stations within 50 kHz of its spot on the dial...

(While I'm at it with specifying "ridiculously low" field strengths, what's the typical necessary field strength for a 3-4dB signal to noise ratio in a rural area, assuming you're using a tuned full-wavelength longwire antenna, and assuming there's no measurable/detectable interference being received from other terrestrial sources?)

Seems like something's wrong with my radio too, as I have trouble separating KSDO's 750TV/pm signal from KDIS's 0.05pV/km... (oh ok I know they aren't quite THAT much different, but my radio sure makes it sound like it...)

How limited?

I meant KXNT North Las Vegas, NV. The question is what would listeners between Las Vegas and San Bernardino hear at night if KXNT 840 North Las Vegas was on IBOC at night at the same time KMXE 830 Orange was on IBOC at night?

Also, in San Diego, what would it sound like if KURS 1040 and XESDD 1030 (although I don't know if any mex's are running IBOC) both ran IBOC simultaneously?
