Ronnie Bruce Bids Farewell To WDJC
Ronnie Bruce
CRAWFORD BROADCASTING Christian WDJC (93.7)/BIRMINGHAM is losing a legend. RONNIE BRUCE has resigned after 21 years as MD and host of the "RONNIE BRUCE SHOW". His final day on air will be FRIDAY, APRIL 12th.
Following his recovery from a stroke and return to the air, RONNIE tells ALL ACCESS, "God has been so faithful to strengthen my body and to give me another chance to live. I will be spending this last week on my show saying farewell to listeners. How appropriate it will be to end my career on Flashback FRIDAY! I'm grateful for all the friendships I've made with radio and records during my career, and I fully expect those relationships to outlast the music. Roll Tide!"

When I saw this, I was surprised. This fellow was a radio legend in Birmingham. It's because of his influence on me, I want to make a return to this business. The way he presented himself on the radio, was amazing. Although WDJC is a rimshot to me, I did all I could to tune in and enjoy his program. The music he played still influences me. This man will always be one of my biggest influences from the radio side of things. I'm going to miss hearing his wonderful voice on the radio. Will continue to think about him often, as I pursue a LPFM radio station for my hometown.
The time I spent listening to him, was some of my best ones ever. Loved the way he presented the Gospel message over that mic. His voice will be missed by me and everyone else that enjoyed it too.
May God bless that man and keep him strong.
