Arrived at 6PM from sunny Tampa. Here's what I think:

1) Why are all the stores shuttered at 6PM at Greater Pitt? Only three planes. It's sad (Long time passing)
2) What is "Classic Top 40" on 3WS?
3) WAOB seems to have an evening personality. Now that is a real throw-back
4) 620 sounds fantastic at night------lovin it.
5) Why is 540 so weak in the city? Used to be really strong when it WWCS?

At the Maxon on the Fifth Floor. Got medium length bottle brown hair. Lookin for a hot-rockin old school DJ to puke into the music in the lobby or the salon? Puke in the garage?
 
Maybe the White Elephant will have a Red Carpet affair

My contacts in the retail biz tell me that 9-11 and the enhanced security screening at airports have basically dealt a death-blow to the Airmall. With the rapid decline of US Airways the passenger traffic has dropped dramatically, and the general public cannot get in to make up the slack.

It does seem the County is cutting them some slack by letting them close at 6PM. The original leases signed by all of those merchants required them to be open every hour that flights were actually coming in and out. (one had to lead off all of his job interviews by saying "So...how would you feel about being here at 5AM on Christmas morning?"). The County is probably cutting them some slack by allowing them to reduce their payroll in order to keep them from shuttering their shops entirely.
 
I know this is way off topic, but it's just more airport than this market needs if it's not going to be used as a hub. Originating traffic here isn't all that bad, to my knowledge, Southwest is happy with the market; what's gone are all those connecting passengers.

In general, air travel has regressed 30 years in the last three.
 
Tampa Airport's stores are before security so the general public can get in. Also, Kiss and Star sound alike to me , 104.3 seems to have more static than in November when I was last here, and I couldn't get 103.1 at all in Squirrel Hill. What format is Q at this point? Seems all over the place. Did TL only play the slow dances in his last hour of the show? I don't remember.
