I’m sure that there are many people in the Radio world that is curious to know what the former GM of Beasley Broadcasting is doing these days. There have been a lot of rumors, but tonight I would like to address them.

First of all I was never fired "so to speak", after several meetings with The Beasley’s (back and forth from Florida) we all came to the conclusion that it was time for me to make a change. My eyesight was getting so poor, that I could not even see which cards I was shuffling around while playing solitaire on my company computer. They gave me permission to promote my successor.

On an early January morning in Pottery Class with my good friend Tom Davis, I looked him straight in the eyes, and said "How would you like to be the new GM of Beasley Broadcasting" his response was surprising. He said that he would agree based on two conditions. One- As long as he has the power to Buy-Out Talent Contracts, and Two- Has the ability to paint his office Purple.

With those conditions drafted in his contract, he is now the GM of Beasley Broadcasting at $46,000 a year. It was a tough decision, take a 50% pay cut and have the ability to boss around Mike O’Brian and Kahuna, or stay in his current GSM position at $92,000 a year and have some one else boss them around.

As far I’ am concerned, I was given a very large severance pay, and now plenty of free time to sing in the church choir, and go Parasailing on Wednesdays in my skippers outfit. This is truly what makes life beautiful.

As far as my family is concerned, they all support me 100%. Matter of fact, my wife has finally agreed to sell our 6,000 Square Foot house for something more suitable for the three of us. We will be moving to North Side of Town (I15 & D Street) at the beginning of March. Not for financial reasons, just to be closer to our church.

As far as all my cars are concerned, my Jag, my Fire-Bird, and my wife’s car...we have decided to turn them in and enjoy a Green 6 passenger Caravan (with a DVD player). This gives us plenty of room to sit and sing together as a family as we take care of daily errands. This world has gotten so materialistic....its ridiculous. Who needs all those fancy things anymore...

While my severance is supporting us, I still have my GI Bill from the Marine Corps and have decided to attend the Blue Elephant School of Cooking in Bangkok, Thailand. This will open up a lot of doors for me when I get back to Las Vegas. Matter of fact, the place where Beasley holds their Christmas Parties every year (The Rivera) has promised me a position in the employee dining facility. If that doesn’t work out, I still have my contacts. Won-Julio with Won-Julio's Cleaning service has exclusive janitorial contracts with all four major Las Vegas Broadcasting Companies. He doesn’t really speak good English, but I have convinced him I would make a great employee. This way I can be at least be around the industry that I have known for all these years.

I have to get going, as you might imagine my wife now wears the pants in the family. She is getting upset because the typing is keeping her awake.

To my entire family & friend in this great radio land...Goodnight.

More to Come!!

One of the cruelest, most distastful posts I have ever seen here. I hope it is deleted.
