Just to show our listeners, what can happen

If Congress does not accept the bill for SaveNetRadio, just as an example, I say we all show the listeners, what can happen if this takes place, by going off the air for just 3 hours. Telling them before we do, that this is what could happen if the rates jump up. and if you don't like that idea, I say we all create a promo, saying if the rates go up for small webcasters like this station, this is what will happen (complete silence for 10 seconds) we will be dead, and you will never hear us anymore.

So pick your favorite idea, and go for it.

I'm gonna take idea number 2 and make a silent ad.

WO
Highway 40 Country and Hot 102 Jamz.

Good luck! I like the idea, and hopefully you'll get many more listeners to realize this topic is not going away and possibly become active in supporting the SaveNetRadio bill. As a listener myself, I'll admit it can be easy sometimes to just forget about the whole threat to Net Radio...

I wish you all the best!

I believe the "Day of Silence" idea was previously established by the folk at SaveNetRadio.org... And for the record, during the Memorial Day Tea Party weekend, I ran four or five alternating promos from SaveNetRadio, including two voiced by Dave Solomon from Surfside1640.com. Thanks, great work!

I'm missing the reason people would care if you go off the air? Not being a smartass, honest. Are you talking about stopping your online streaming for 10 minutes to make a statement? I've had stations buffer out longer than that! Please explain.

Its a good idea but we need more people to try and fight this instead of giving in so easily!!!!

WHY DO ANALOG RADIO STATIONS NOT HAVE TO PAY THESE HIGHER RATES??

JUST AS MANY PPL LISTEN TO THEM!!
