Let me guess...A typical night on Free Hill so far: Joey Jenkins in N.C. (fresh back from doctor shopping) wants to hear "Children of the Sun" or some Robin Trower, Tater and Rick want to hear "Whiskey Man" by Molly Hatchett, Bath-tub Baby Doll wants to tell you about her problems and about how many bikini contests she's won, Adam the "Beatle Boy" wants to hear "The Long & Winding Road", The "Jaded Lady" thinks every song you play is for her, Christy & Eric call to tell you how they were great friends with the last DJ that worked there, Grave Digger thinks you're secretly communicating with him through the commercials you play, The Wine Folks in Vilas, N.C. want to hear some Bob Seger and Nazareth, Melinda wants you to come over to her trailer because her husband hasn't been givin' it to her right, but luckily for you she'll settle for "Paradise By the Dashboard Lights" by Meatloaf, Miss Nude Knoxville 1984 tells you she's contemplating Gastric By-Pass surgery to get her 1984 figure back, somebody calls imitating the "Tennessee Midnight Rambler", Three mullet heads call from the campsite down by the lake and request, "Casey Jones", "That Smell", "Cocaine", & "Snortin' Whiskey" and want to put them on the air so they can tell "all the single women in Piney Flats" where they're "party'in" at tonight, ten different people want to tell you that they're just an old rock-n-roller & they've been listening to QUT since 1978 and they've now driven their Camar'a to the top of a mountain in Kentucky so they can still pick up the station, some dude will call because you forgot his Charlie Daniels from two nights ago and he's still waitin', and when you forget it yet again, he'll call back and call you an ole "yankee queer" that don't know how to rock-n-roll and that he knows some boys in Jonesborough that'll take care of you, you get a collect call from the prison, that says: you have a collect call from... "Play Free Bird". . Oh, this list could go on and on. I'll say this, Yoda...You can make a lot of people love you or hate you. You might even save someone from Suicide by playing Foghat. Just ask Bud.
