This station has a serious identity crisis. Tonight, they are playing a mixshow that has played two very progressive remixes of Enrique Iglesias's "Tonight" and BEP "Time (Dirty Bit)"... these remixes wouldn't even get played on Q102. So what the heck are they doing on Mix 106.1? How does this appeal to 35-54 year old females?
Now, I think it's awesome that we actually have a station that plays half-decent dance music (okay, even if it's mostly just Top 40 remixes) in Philadelphia. I just don't understand why it is on the market's Hot AC.
My bet is that the January book will be slightly better than the Holiday, but still pretty miserable. Just make the station a full-fledged Rhythmic AC and stop the several year flirtation with this format that has clearly been a failure.
