Justin and Jackie at WFAA

The more I watch them, the more I like them. And I don't hand out compliments too often about Dallas TV!! Seems like the right balance of seriousness, with no heavy-handedness and some decent comedic bits and confident ad-libbing thrown in when appropriate. They seem to have the classic Channel 8 formula down already, something that Debbie and Michael, God bless 'em, never quite mastered. Jackie could loosen up some, as her delivery seems more like a prime-time anchor's, but I'm sure that will come in time.

Whole heartedly agree, and have myself entertained many of the same thoughts while watching them. They make a good "watch and listen" and appear to be a worthwhile addition to Channel 8's stable of talent. One wonders if for Justin there is the possibility of him moving on to other newscats on WFAA, when the opportunity presents itself.

I am on the Jackie/Justin band wagon too. They Give Mike the Why guy a ration of kidding all morning.

It is good to see the humor back in the GMT but I still miss my boy Scotty.

...Speaking of the Why Guy maybe he can explain why they are using the night news set now, instead of the gold and yellow one that was more morningish. Actually, it was a little too bright. This set looks more serious. Maybe that's what they needed.

Maybe they have the yellow one at the set designers getting ready for the big sidewalk show, I mean the street level studio they have planned. One thing about WFAA, they may not be perfect, but they keep monkeying with the knobs.

I was told that the old morning set was going to be torn down and that the 6/10PM set was to be used temporarily. I think it's still many months away before the AAC studio is even put together, if I recall the press release correctly.
