Justin Farmer WSB-TV

Justin Farmer made his debut on Channel 2 on Monday. I guess he is here and John Pruitt's time is coming to an end. When will WSB announce John and Monica's retirement? Will they both leave the anchor chair at the same time?

From one market(D/FW) to another: Thank you for taking him off our hands. Puppetboy and his emotionless face are all yours :)

He was anchoring Friday's 5 PM newscast (filling in for John Pruitt...but I am assuming this was a test newscast for Justin). From the little bit I saw, he was pretty good.

For the poster from DFW...why the negativity? How was Justin at WFAA?

Just saw him tonight for the first time. Was expecting more from WSB and am so far unimpressed. Reads prompter well and looks good. Fits into my category of "generic news reader". Just my first impression. Perhaps a personality will emerge later.

Fred Blakenship and Jaquita Williams would be a good fit for the 5pm show. I could see Ryan Young doing the 5am show, but im not feeling Carol Sbarge. Pam Martin was way better and energetic.

Worked with Justin at WFXL in Albany Georgia. I see his delivery hasn't changed very much.

The guy is a piece of wood shaped into a real life body, like pinocchio without the nose thing. A generic news reader who lacks emotion.

Sounds like a perfect fit for Channel 2! You know they are not trying to rock the boat with any of their anchor choices. Status quo...

I agree John Bachman's Dad is the evening anchor at the NBC affiliate in Des Monies, IA. Not only that, but John's Dad worked with Glenn Burns back in the late 70's in Minneapolis. I think when fall comes Justin and Jovita will anchor 5pm news followed by Monica and John at 6/11pm. When Monica and John retired Justin and Jovita are the future lead anchors to take over the reign of WSB-TV. I don't know how long John Pruitt, going to be doing the news. He's 65 years old, and Monica will turned 61, in October and she has 4 years left until she retired!
