THe Tennis Channel Pundit has been convicted for assault.
Wimbledon will ghost Justin Gimelstob after the former tennis star pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault for attacking a former friend in Los Angeles on Halloween 2017.
Gimelstob, 42, won’t be invited to the Wimbledon invitational events — a series he’s taken part in over the last nine years — or be afforded a seat in the Royal Box, UK’s The Times reports. The Association of Tennis Professionals will also soon vote on Gimelstob’s position as a board representative.
The New Jersey native was sentenced Monday to three years of probation, 60 days of community service and a year’s worth of anger management classes.
Prosecutors said Gimelstob, reportedly clad in a “Top Gun” pilot costume, allegedly attacked Randall Kaplan from behind as they trick-or-treated with their kids.
