Justin Lock exits CBS ATLANTA

12/13/12 is his last day. He's heading back to the Carolina coast. i remember him doing weather in Charleston at WCIV years ago.

This might not be a reflection on his ratings. I believe TV meteorologists get paid quite well, sometimes the second highest paid talent at most TV stations behind the main news anchor. He might be able to make enough at Charleston SC, where he doesn't have to put up with the hassles of Market #9.

He was probably just homesick of South Carolina and was tired of Atlanta. Atlanta isn't for everyone and maybe he was one of those...

Sounds more personal than career decision:

“My wife and I and newborn son are moving back to Charleston, SC where we want to raise our family,” Lock told TVSpy, ” Charleston is where we met and got married.”

Wish I had the option..Charleston is great city

Charleston is my home town! Great city, but it gets boring fast. Perfect place for retirement.

Let me make sure I've got this down right.

Retirement is supposed to be boring.

Charleston is great for retirement.

I'm going to over here and sit in the corner, read my AARP magazine, and think about that one. ::)

Maybe it's just me? I'm 29 and for a youngster like me, yes Charleston is boring. No major Nightlife, plus the city shuts down at 1am. When your over 65 it's the perect place!!! As for Justin if he likes, great for him. Him along with Guy Rawlings and Monica McNeal are a couple of talents I've seen in Charleston land gigs at WGCL. Karyn Green from 11 Alive was also a talent in Charleston.
