Justin Timberlake announced Sunday that he will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show next year.
The musician made the announcement via Twitter in a video clip with NBC late-night host Jimmy Fallon, declaring, “I do halftime!”
The network will broadcast the NFL’s championship game on Feb. 4, 2018, from Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium.
The music superstar previously participated in the halftime show for the 2004 Super Bowl, and the moment he tore off part of Janet Jackson’s costume resulted in the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” in which one of her breasts was largely exposed.
“Nipplegate” led the FCC to issue a record $550,000 fine to CBS, the network that broadcast that year’s game — though the fine was later voided by an appeals court.
