Sorry to be one of those fuss-budget proper language types, but hopefully we all know that the correct term is "guerilla marketing," as in: "A member of an irregular, usually indigenous military or paramilitary unit operating in small bands in occupied territory to harass and undermine the enemy, as by surprise raids."

I believe "guerilla" is originally a Spanish word...and it has nothing to do with large herbivorous primates.

Im not a "radio guy". But common sense would tell me. Anyone wanting to hire someone wouldnt base their opinions on what people say in an internet forum.

Im just sayin.....

What "day"? There is no "day" that has come!

Seriously, JV fans, you're spreading the good news ... about nothing!

And JV, has the station that you're going to be on (that you can't name) told you that they're not going to spend a dime on promotion, and that they decided they won't even put out a press release about you, so you have to do all the "gorilla marketing" yourself?

I'll be tuning in on Day 1 also ... but until there's real news, it's just more "word on the street from a source close to the situation at a major station in a Top 10 market" stuff.
 
Boss Radio, I always respect you thoughts and opinions. I agree with everything you are saying above. The best thing would be to wait until the DJ,s that JV will replace have been informed, than start the promotion at this point. Kind of like Movin' did for St John, I know St. John knew about his gig for 2 + weeks before anything was released. This will be the same thing here I would think. Everything will quiet down for a few weeks and then some kind of announcement. Or maybe we have all been duped again.

Ive heard JV say many things about a new gig. But this is the 1st time since free FM NY that he "HAS" a new gig. Ive heard "almost", "probably", and "maybe". But he said "HAS". So Ill be there day 1 next to my radio listening like BossRadioDJ will be.

My Dog House love aside.. Morning radio in the Bay really sucked. So JV has an advantage already.

Can anyone tell me who the top morning radio show is? I flip from KDON Madhouse, KNBR Murph & Mac. And neither show is any good.
 
JV is getting another crack at radio.....and in a related story Larry Holmes has decided to try another comeback in boxing.
Some laughing stock losers of this planet just never know when their time has past. LOL
 
JV is the best broadcaster i have ever heard... no matter where he goes or what time it is ill be tuned in from jersey... gotta love the internet...and all the dog house/jv haters... ur doing a good job

Wow, I would be suprised however he was close to a deal a few times with them, they had made some spots for him also. As recent as 6 weeks ago he said the big guys at clear channel said NO on a deal at Wild. Be interesting to see what plays out.... for 94.9 to allow a call would be strange unless the plan is for him to be at that station.

They still have a "Temp DJ" doing mornings?
