JV & ELVIS??

um, was wondering why they aren't promoted as THE DOGHOUSE??? is that phrase copyrighted or something, or did Infinity think just JV & ELVIS would be cooler???? also, since I now live in sunny las vegas, I was hoping that they are going to live stream the signal on the web, any ideas??? and is 106.9 ALL TALK or do they play some music??? sounds like an air america thing to me!!:)

My uninformed guess is that since even they are admitting that this is a 10 week tryout, that KIFR has no reason to start branding them now. I heard them refer to themselves as the Doghouse on their show. I would guess that if they get a permanent timeslot, them maybe they might go back to the doghouse.

And, no, no music.
 
That is a good question. I also noticed it isn't Elvis and JV--they way it used to be in the promos. Althought JV still refers to them as The Doghouse and Elvis and JV.

Only Hollywood will be part of the show and it seems they may not be as crude and will not have any stunts or street guys now.

Also, they did not do their signature WHAAAAAT for some reason. They did it once and tried to side step it for the rest of the morning.

Elvis one time just said, "Hey!" which was pretty funny.

The promos, ran during the commercials and beginning of the show, called them the doghouse. They mentioned their "real" names also though.

Anyone have a link to an "official" statment saying the doghouse was a temp. show? Where they on this AM, if so did they make mention of the Temp. thing???
JV dosn't mention it on his web page in his new update.

Am I the only one thinking that the doghouse is just getting used to bring in local listeners? Is 106.9 just bringing in a local "name" to try and grab some quick ratings? Even though they were given no guarentee, it doesn't feel right.

Yeah, they mentioned it on the show.
 
Doghouse returns (for Now)

Very conflicting reports, i just finished speaking with with a friend who host a show on KGO he said he has heard much noise about the doghouse going to Alice. In January, he even metioned how well the current alice morning show would fit in real good at live 105. he felt sure the doghouse would do what was needed to get a show somewhere, then see what happens with ratings.

This is how <a target="_blank" href=http://www.allaccess.com>AllAccess</a> worded it, quoting Infinity radio head Joel Hollander in a company conference call for the news media:

"KIFR's new lineup that includes THE DOGHOUSE in mornings, is for a "10 week tryout," according to HOLLANDER, after which CAROLLA will do mornings and THE DOGHOUSE may be retained for a different time slot."
