He was last seen Thursday night near his San Francisco home. Not sure why he's described as "at risk", but it does mention back in April he discussed "dealing with ideations of self-harm."

SO sad to learn about this. I've never heard JV's show but as someone (also in radio) who has battled with Major Depressive Disorder for decades, I hope he is found soon and alive and well enough to benefit from the help that is available to him.

Hope JV is OK? This is the first notable case since Radio host being reported missing since the Former Radio Host Ray Taliaferro went missing due to deteriorating brain.
So incredibly sad. There’s barely anything that can be said beyond the (nearly clichéd) thoughts and prayers for his safe return, along with comfort for his family, friends and co-workers.
Listening to KYLD right now, absolutely heartbreaking. Wishing a safe return for JV, and comfort for his family, work family, and the listeners who have connected with him over the years.
Even with WYLD being one of my less listened to stations on the dial in the bay, I remember him and his voice well as he was absolutely a hallmark of WYLD from the times I landed on it from dial surfing… really sad to hear this news. Very talented DJ, he was a natural fit for radio and had quite amazing charisma.
I hope he is okay and safe. Best wishes for him, his family, friends and coworkers. Mental health is a very oft under-appreciated thing in our society I feel and I hope he will be able to recover and return better than ever.
I feel words on a message board won’t ever portray my concern for him and his safety, nor my appreciation of his involvement in the scene. Best wishes for him.

I'm still getting the "unavailable" screen but don't really need to see the post. Anyway, I join the others here in hoping he's found and is safe.
It was supposed to say that he suffered from Lyme disease and that was a factor that lead him to where he is today.

Natasha Yi, the wife of Wild 94.9 host Jeffrey Vandergrift who has been reported missing for six days, said recently discovered information "leads us to believe JV will not be coming back."

The body of missing Wild 94.9 radio DJ Jeffrey Vandergrift, popularly known as "JV" on air, has been found after he went missing in February.

Sorry to hear this one. He was found dead in San Francisco and the cause of death is under investigation. Prior to this confirmation there were talks on how depressed and mental health crisis JV was in leading up to him being declared missing and now found dead.
