JWP ON KKDA(AM)

I suppose it's been about a decade since it's been gone. What were the circumstance that led to the end of John Wiley Price's nightly talkshow on KKDA (Soul 73)?

I seem to recall that other staff changes happened around that time on KKDA such as The Wolf and Cuzzin Lennie vanishing.

Service decided to take some of the talk shows off KKDA. The Wolf still does overnights on KKDA. L I think, but I am not sure but Cuzzin Lennie is no longer with us....

Sorry to hear about Cuzzin Lennie (if he's indeed gone). He was among the reasons why 730 was always a preset on my car radio.

As for Commissioner Price, regardless of what you might think of him, his nightly program ``Liberation Radio'' was definitely in the realm of ``more stimulating talk''.

I realize you said you "think" he's "no longer with us"...but seriously, before you make ANY statement about someone possibly being D E A D, you really ought to be CERTAIN of your facts, especially if you are speculating about something as serious as that in a public forum.

Just my 2 cents.

Yea Cousin Lennie has been at KNON for some time. He was there in '03 when I was. I used to help him carry his cd's up the stairs in the "old White House" off San Jacinto. Good ole guy. JWP's show was "Liberation Nation" the highest pledged show next to the overnight gospel show that all of God's waiting room used to pledge to.

Always count on Buc for the urban insight...

And Bob, you are right, regardless of what is thought of him... stimulating is definitely the word. :D
