K-104.7 Format Change!

All in the AC top 5. What is the reasoning behind not playing them? What a mess of a station. Put it out of its misery CBS.

There are posts about 107.9 flipping formats to sports...which doesn't seem likely due to the money the station makes.

If all attempts with K fail, what about just slapping a simulcast of 610 on 104.7? Many companies, especially CBS, have been putting sports talk and news/talk stations on FM lately. CBS did it recently with sports in Boston, Detroit, and Pittsburgh I believe. Seems like a winner....better signal, more desirable (FM over AM), cheaper to run. I'm sure it would sound better..

Just an idea.

Two questions: 1 - Who says what they are doing now on 104.7 isn't working? and 2 - Why would you want Lite to have the entire A/C pie?
 
Might be interesting to see what Jim Ryan, CBS's new VP of AC Programming, might do with K. Of course, he's overseeing 14 (?) stations including the "Fresh" stations in NYC and Chicago.

Ryan, as you may know, was the successful PD of WLTW (usually #1 or 2) in New York before leaving to consult several months ago.
