K-104.7's Christmas Music

::) I am not a very big fan of Christmas music after years of being made to play it over and over again from my meager beginnings at a local 5000 watt station, but today, I was driving to church and decided to scan the dial for some Christmas reinforcement. WKQC kicked off the hour with Jose Felicano and Feliz Navidad which was OK...However when I came out of church at 12, or maybe 1, we kicked off the hour with the same...Jose!! Geez, between that and saturating the hour with Christmas jingles that I think sound like the Johnny Mann Singers (are they still around) or worse yet..Pepper Tanner bater jingles..And then again, it could be edits like I used to love to do from demo packages..Sorry Tom Merriman..and PAMS..

Anyway..On the way home from the mall, I heard old "Jose" again"

Thus ends my trip to the holiday music station this year!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's from THE BIG APE!

Dial Global has played this song entirely too many times and I'm sick of it.

I won't even give K-104.7 a chance since I can't stand AC passing for Christmas music, or AC versions of the traditional songs.

I may be forced to tomorrow if it rains. The library I'm going to only keeps newspapers for two weeks, and it's already been two weeks today. I can look at what they threw out, if they did, at another library--provided they have it. I find the first library I mentioned has a better record of getting or holding on to these papers.

But I have to get my exercise! If it's raining, the mall plays K-104.7. ::) The WHOLE mall, meaning the area not in any of the stores.

Last time I was there, I heard "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. It was summer! It was a countdown of the top songs of '95. Which wasn't too bad, overall.

::) Let's turn 'em in..The Mall, that is..Bet they don't pay any BMI or ASCAP license fees...Ha! Public Performance....APE Rules There're Guilty!

Good point. I used to eat at a cafeteria which had a sign on the door saying the music came from AEI and all fees were paid.
