If KRTH is only going to play sitting on the dock of the bay and louie louie they should cut out 60's all together. and they should play the 80s songs that people like not the pointer sisters. and on the streaming they don't need to play sound bites from the morning show. they should play music like they did at the beginning of streaming their station.
 
Why? The playlist they have seems to bring dynamic ratings! I wouldn't touch a thing.
 
A tight plalylist with few songs has ALWAYS been a hallmark of KRTH programming. I wondered for years how KRTH could have a top 500 countdown when they didn't even have 500 songs on the playlist :)

The playlist is in the 700-900 range since Jhani Kaye has been there.

Try K-EARTH CLASSICS (HD-2) on-line. Nice broad playlist of oldies!
 
I listen to KRTH-HD2. If they could only stop the jingles between songs. Haven't they ever heard of the segue. But like the old KRTH, there is a lot of Motown that I can live without.

I am getting to like KOST-HD2 (KOST Classics). Voicetracked, but current, some nice music, and no commericals.

KLOS plays the same 12 songs by the same 10 artists and has been doing that for years. Anytime you can guess with 70% accuracy or better what the next song/group they will play you're sucking out loud. I have literally set a clock to within minutes by what KLOS is Playing. Thankfully, out in Ventura County there is a station with a much larger playlist (95.9 KOCP "The Octopuss")

Interestingly, that station is 17th in the Oxnard market, while KLOS is around 10th in LA.
